Come out swinging...

A customer has generously provided us a picture of a DNA tattoo:

We had a great time working with the customer to make sure they had a wonderful experience. I personally think that tattoo looks great, and I hope you all will also.

It is a beautiful experience to have something that you envisioned be so embraced by another person, and we look forward to continuing to spread our vision of a more beautiful humanity.

Thoughts on freedom

I have been thinking recently about what it means to be free in the US in 2008. I know that there have been immeasurable sacrifices made over the years so that we can have a chance to be free, but what does that mean exactly? If it means the chance to make choices that define one's own fate, then I think that entrepreneurs experience a very particular kind of freedom.

When I think about the BioSketch product line, it is hard to imagine anything with more individualistic stylings. One of the things that first drew me towards tattoos was the chance to be unique. But to live in a free society must mean more than the sum of our seperate decisions. There must be decisions that we make together that direct our combined fates that join us together as a free people.

To honor that tradition, I will be spending some time making available new products that bring together the uniquness of individual genetic structures into a new, group directed creation. The products have been in development for some time and you should hear more about them soon.

Big things coming...

I think one of my favorite things about working on BioSketch is the chance to try new things. Not all of them work (most of them don't), but as long as we can dream it we can do it.

Things are really picking up and soon and Matt and I will be busier than ever so expect to hear a lot more from us on the blogs.

New Sites, New Horizons

Since last year, BioSketch.net has launched along with dnatattoo.net. I will be putting DnaPicture, DnaJewelry, and BodyArtConvention online soon as well. BioSketch made its first sale and got its first satisfied customer.
