Working On Vacation
This week following Thanksgiving I am with my family at our cabin in Pennsylvania, which was built by my Great-Grandfather. It was initially a 12'X18' room with no heat or water. Over the years it has been improved upon until it now has electricity, a living room, full bathroom, a bedroom with 9 bunks, a full kitchen, a gas furnace, telephone service and an ADT alarm system. But today is truely historic as it is the first time that the internet was plugged into the cabin. I am using my cell phone as a modem to make this post, and when I plugged my laptop power cord, the cabin essentially had internet service installed. It boggles the mind to think of the technological advancement in 4 generations, but what is cause for greater pause is that I don't know how to install the gas furnace, kitchen, or bathroom. That may be cause for reassessing priorities.
I will be working here throughout the week until I return home. Don't think I forgot those convention pictures, they are coming.

Old School Tattoo Convention - Day 1
I am at the 4th Annual Old School Tattoo Convention in St Louis, MO. I drove up from Nashville today and spent the afternoon polling parlor owners and artists on their opinions of BioSketch. Tattooing starts tomorrow, and I'll get to see some of the best and brightest at work. The brightest point of my night was meeting Ryan and Brooke from Primal Urge Tattoos. They were very keen on the BioSketch concept and gave me lots of great leads for more artists to contact.
I will try to get a picture of Lyle Tuttle on Saturday, and will post all photos on http://blog.biosketch.net when I get home Sunday.
Tomorrow will be one of the most exicting days of the my tenure at BioSketch! I wonder if I'll get inked myself? Stay tuned...

Marketing Activity On The Horizon
BioSketch is putting the finishing touches on its first direct outreach to parlor owner and tattoo artists regarding the DNAtattoo.net product. It has been a great experience to write the ad copy, design the art work, and work with the printer. I will post a draft on the MySpace BioBlog (readable at blog.biosketch.net) when I get the hardcopy draft back for approval from the printer.
